Nice different change of pace

Went to Audacity on a whim when all of the other restaurants in the area had long waits and we had some hungry kiddos. I was a bit apprehensive, because you know, British food. But boy was I wrong! First off, I want to say that Mark is one of the best servers around. He instantly knew the kids’ orders needed to go in first and took care of it immediately. He was patient while others in our party were indecisive and made recommendations we didn’t know we needed. The food was spot on. Even the kids polished off their mac and cheese (never happens). I ordered the Cottage Pie only because I saw it come out of the kitchen a few times. WOW, yum. Portion was so large I took half home. Others in our party ordered the burgers and fish & chips. Fish & chips was huge and while I didn’t try it, it was exactly what I’d want it to look like if I did. Perfectly golden and crispy. And for inflation like it is today, prices are very reasonable. Beautiful holiday decor and cozy atmosphere. Karaoke was happening that night too, so special shout out to Nancy for the voice of an angel. If you’re curious about this spot, don’t hesitate and just go!

I heard great things so I decided to take my grandmother to see if it was worth the hype. I had a waiter named Mark who was very enthusiastic about his job and the options he works with. I came at the perfect time because their special that night was a super THICC PRIME RIB! and they nailed it. All the sides and fixins were a truly authentic experience. I couldn't believe the price was that fair. The beers were also great. I would highly recommend. My grandmother definitely recommends the Codd as well. I cant wait to go back.

The food here is fantastic and so is the service. My husband and I love a good pub and this place fits the bill! The decor and warmth of all the staff makes you feel right at home. We intend to make this a staple in our restaurant experiences. Thank you for opening a great spot in a nice historic location.

The chicken marsala (British style) was excellent and the service was very good. The cocktails were excellent as well. Looking forward to returning.

Went for dinner with 2 others. Had 'The house cup' their version of a pimps cup cocktail, the cloth of gold cocktail, all 3 pies. Asked for extra gravy, it didn't need it, but was just so delicious! everything was fantastic. I usually don't have a big appetite, but I cleaned my plate. We didn't get a chance to take pictures because we were too eager to dig in.

Went to celebrate our anniversary dinner at Audacity. Having lived in England years ago while in college, I was thrilled to finally see an authentic British pub open in CT. Our server was Mark, who was fantastic. The man is a gem! The food was great. I had the Scotch egg (delicious!) and the Cornish pasty. My husband had the Mandu's Masala, which he also loved. The owner stopped by to thank us, which was very sweet. We will be back.

What a delightful and delicious date night! We had an amazing time at our first visit here. Mark the server kept us engaged and laughing. The food was so good - the toad in the hole app was perfectly salty and sweet. The fish and chips was HUGE, perfectly crispy, and sauces were great. Loved the mushy peas! The burger special was excellent. Lots of beer selections, and their house made crisps were great. We can't wait to come back!

Went in for Happy Hour. Service has improved greatly and the food came quick. I got the Fish N Chips Bites and a drink. For the total of $12, It's a good value and the food tasted great. I also got chips to munch on and they were also very good. I don't any complaints to be honest. Its a great go to if you like British style food and the prices for the happy hour weren't bad. Highly recommend if you are in Manchester.

Finally, a Sunday roast dinner at the pub! This is what Ive been waiting for ...I chose the 'roast beef' which they're doing as a prime rib, (they also have pork & chicken) served with horseradish, roast potatoes, broccoli, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.....it was perfect! The Yorkshires are huge, much better than I can make at home...🤷🏼‍♀️ The whole meal was delicious, I finished the entire plate (and it was huge!) To top it off we had a sticky toffee pudding to share, and that was perfection too.....I can't wait to go back with more friends for a monthly tradition. This Brit sends a huge thanks for a much needed slice of home :)
